Kristina Peterson is the CEO and Founder of Mayflower Partners LLC, an international financial advisory firm in Menlo Park, California. Her professional career spans seventeen years in international structured and project finance in the U.S. and the Middle East. At Mayflower, she advises private sector and government clients on environmental, energy and financial services projects in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe/CIS.
Her areas of expertise include long–term cross–border debt, limited recourse project finance, sub–sovereign and municipal finance, multilateral and export credit agency guaranteed debt, revolving investment funds, start–up financing, early stage venture capital and venture capital Fund–of–Funds.
Prior to founding Mayflower in 2001, Ms. Peterson worked as an international banker at Citibank and ABN AMRO Bank, a large Dutch bank headquartered in the Netherlands. In her ten year career in banking, she was involved in financing over sixteen large projects, worth over $5.8 billion in total project costs. Ms. Peterson specialized in cross–border project and structured finance, based in Dubai, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and focused on the energy, telecommunications and equipment finance sectors.
Ms. Peterson received an MBA from the University of Chicago and her B.S. Business Administration from Boston University. She also studied management of technology and strategy at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. She is a Corporate Board Member of the Swedish–American Chamber of Commerce USA (SACC-USA), and is a member of Silicon Vikings, the Financial Women’s Association of San Francisco, the International Private Water Association, and the International Desalination Association. She is a former Treasurer and Director of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce Dubai.
